Paige Spiranac and Bryson DeChambeau aim to shoot under 50 from the red tees

It only made sense to continue their collaboration after Bryson DeChambeau invited Paige Spiranac to participate in a “Break 50 Challenge” because the two have recently collaborated on a few films that have received a lot of attention on YouTube. Paige’s excellent short game was also mentioned by him as a benefit in the “Break 50” challenge.

They try their luck at Albany, Bahamas, the site of the Hero World Challenge, which is Tiger Woods’ competition. When Bryson isn’t in Texas or on the LIV Golf Tour, he resides there as well. It’s also where Sam Bankman Fried was operating FTX before the collapse of that business.

Do they surpass the red tees by fifty percent? No. Do they put up an absurd score between them and come really, really close? Yes, indeed. The video is around 51 minutes long, so if you want to see Paige Spiranac and Bryson DeChambeau’s finest shots, I’d suggest watching the “most watched” portions on YouTube or going to the finish.

One thing to keep in mind is that, according to the Albany scorecard, this course does not feature red tees, despite the fact that Bryson DeChambeau has been pursuing the “Break 50 Challenge,” which is meant to be played from them. Rather, the “Pink Tees” on the team’s scorecard are the standard “red tees” at Albany in The Bahamas. Though it’s a very minor disagreement, it seemed important to bring up since Bryson included “red tees” in the description of his video.

Furthermore, a score of -19 on any tee is incredible. They should get full recognition for putting up that figure. That being said, I wholeheartedly concur with the commenter who suggested that Bryson DeChambeau cast Brooks Koepka in the upcoming “Break 50 Challenge” video. Those erstwhile rivals are the ones breaking 50 together from the red tees if any two LIV golfers are.

In somewhat related news, Paige Spiranac shared “things in golf that don’t make sense” to her in a video that she shared on X, formerly Twitter:

Nobody that I’ve encountered on a golf course doesn’t rake their bunker. I’m rather laid back on the course, and if I saw someone else doing that, I’d call them out right away. Regarding “rounds that take over 5 hours,” that is sometimes left to the divine intervention of the golf gods. Sometimes there is nothing that can be done if the course is busy and it is the weekend.
